Championing Cricket in Greenbank & Waterford
Greenbank Cricket Club is a not-for-profit organisation focused on promoting cricket within the Greenbank and Waterford areas. We aim to foster a Love for the game, enshrining our motto of “Cricket is a Game and Games are meant to be Fun”. In doing this we foster players that enjoy the game and not forget why we love this game. The Club was formed around 1980 and has expanded from a small junior-focused setup to a thriving cricket hub.
In recent years, we have made significant strides, including acquiring a council lease for Malling Park in 2020 and installing field lighting at Greenbank in 2021. With continued growth, we now feature teams across multiple age groups, including our first-ever girls’ team for the 2025 season. Our Blasters program is designed for children under 10 that have yet the basic skills to play cricket. The next step is to introduce young players to team-based games. . Training occurs either once or twice a week depending on their skills level. On either Friday Nights or Saturday Mornings are team based games being played locally and away matches.
